Residential Care

Our three bungalows, Aspen, Rowan and Cherry, provide a home and respite care for adults with learning disabilities and are situated within The Oaklands Complex, in the heart of the Warsop community.

Warsop is a busy town approximately 7 miles from the town of Mansfield and yet only minutes away from Sherwood Forest and the surrounding countryside.

We are within easy walking distance from the centre of Warsop where you can find all the local amenities. A bus route is only yards from the bungalows, and we also have our own large minibus, which seats 12 people.

The Oaklands residential bungalows are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have contracts with the local social care authorities.

Aims and Objectives

The residential units provide and maintain a family home for the residents in our care.
Our aim is to help each individual to develop to become a valued member of their community through gaining competence in the following areas: physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually. This is achieved by sensitive recognition and nurturing the potential in each individual.

Staff are responsible for the needs and requirements of each individual; each resident is assigned their own individual key worker. All residents have an input in the choice matters regarding food preferences, bedtime, dress and the day to day running of their home as well as individual choice in decoration and furnishing of their rooms. It is the policy of The Oaklands to promote self advocacy, enabling them to take control of their life giving self respect and motivation. Our aims are to achieve maximum independence whilst offering the highest level of care covering physical, emotional and recreational needs.
